Anthem’s Game Director Jonathan Warner hinted on Twitter today that Anthem had hit a significant milestone:

today was my favorite day…Milestone day! And it was awesome. #AnthemGame #BioWare #Proud

Milestones measure a game’s development progress. Developers look at what date they hit a particular milestone on, compare that to the date they expected to reach that milestone on and understand whether their game’s development is progressing according to schedule. A milestone is typically a significant event in the game’s development lifecycle, such as “first multiplayer test complete”, “campaign complete” or naturally “gold release” (our examples).

Warner is clearly impressed with and proud of whatever milestone the game’s development has reached. We’ll just have to wonder, at least for the time being, what milestone he might be talking about.

Warner couldn’t quite stop the teasing there though:

Chew, if only you could see what I’ve seen… #AnthemGame pic.twitter.com/xhmyE6r2Iz

We can’t wait to see what you’ve seen, Jonathan!

(Edit: We originally got ahead of ourselves and reported this as a new screenshot from Anthem before checking into it. Both the quote and the screen grab are from Blade Runner.)
